Quick and Easy Gifts From Target's Dollar Spot
If you thought you procrastinators were left behind on the last week of Christmas, think again! Today's post is all about picking up those last minute gifts with your last minute budget!
I'm so excited today to have Ms. Haley from Whatever Bright Things posting today on the blog! She is a blogger with a love for planners, Netflix, and good books, so basically she is my sister from another mister! I asked Haley to post on two of her favorite (bright) things (which happen to be mine too!), Target and Christmas! So without further ado, I'll let her steal the show!
Who's ready for some affordable, thoughtful, and cute gift ideas?! When Lydia asked me to do a post about finding gifts or stocking stuffers in the Target Dollar Spot, I said: "Challenge accepted." This post perfectly combines my love for Target and Lydia's love for budgeting. I'm so excited to share my gift ideas with you all, and I hope you find some inspiration for your own holiday shopping!
In the spirit of the challenge, I looked to Lydia's How To Plan And Keep A Christmas Budget post for my budget constraints. While a gift completely made of dollar-aisle products probably isn't appropriate for your significant other, close family, or best friends, I think it's entirely appropriate for children (who, as Lydia pointed out, will probably be throwing it out at some point), coworkers, and the other people in your life that you want to say a little "Happy Holidays" to.
Each of the products in this post was found in the Target Dollar Spot - which runs between $1 and $3 - and other gift-y sections of Target - like the beauty section, which has stocking-stuffer type gifts. Each of the gifts I put together is around $5, some a little more, some a little less. I also came up with a few different combinations for the different people in your life!
The Target Dollar Spot is one of my favorite places to buy craft and office supplies, and it's the perfect place to buy gifts for your crafty friends and family members. For these small gifts/stocking stuffers, I included:
- A cute container (that doubles as gift wrap!)
- A stamp pad
- A festive stamp or alphabet stamp set
- Pens, sticky notes, a notepad, stickers, or whatever else you want to throw in there!
This gift is especially great for small nieces & nephews, because if you include some kind of paper, it's a quiet activity for them to do on Christmas day.
I also put together a few gifts for the people that you want to give something to, but don't want to spend too much of your budget on.
Each of these gifts total around $5, but each is a thoughtful gesture and surprise for the people who might not expect anything from you. They also make great gift exchange gifts!
The Target Dollar Spot also has a lot of great gift wrap, tissue paper, and cards for turning your gift into a whole holiday package. A hand-written card can go a long way too.
I hope this post makes your holiday shopping just a little less stressful, and maybe even fun! Putting together a gift for someone can seem like a daunting task, but with a little thought, creativity, and a few dollars, you can find a great gift.
Thank Haley for sharing your love for Target with my love of affordable gifts! ;) If you want to see more of Haley's bright things go check out her blog, Whatever Bright Things. She is just as sassy & sweet as me I promise, you'll just have to stick around and get to know her!
